7th edition of the Firefighter Combat Challenge is now behind us. The event that took place in Szczecin on 11-12th of August 2017, had close to 300 professional firefighters participating in it.

For the seventh time we could watch the rivalry between the most persistent firefighters, competing in individual and team disciplines. Also, worthy of note and admiration is the joining to the competition of 15 women. FCC is a very demanding competition, in which strength, agility and perseverance are the leading factors required in achieving victory. Lubawa S.A. was honoured to appear as one of the major supporting companies. Our mobile, rapid-deployment tents once again contributed to the facilities of the participants of the competition on the Szczecin quay. The event was also under the patronage of the Chief Commander of Fire Dpt. Brig. Gen. Leszek Suski, the West Pomeranian Governor Krzysztof Kozłowski and the Mayor of Szczecin Piotr Krzystek.

During the competition the participants had to take part in many different exhausting tasks, e.g. carrying a 19 kg firehose to the top of a 12 m tower, as well as moving a 72,5 kg brick using just a hammer – and all this in a full combat gear!

According to tradition, many activities for the youngest ones were held. Specially prepared tracks, on which kids could try their hand at competing, as well as firefighter’s gear suited to their needs, are just some of the entries in the events’ extensive program.

Events of this kind have been initiated in the US over 20 years ago, in order to reflect the actual activities of the firefighting profession. This is exactly what it takes, to make such a spectacular and dynamic event. Event, which due to its profile, is significant for Lubawa S.A..
