7th edition of the Firefighter Combat Challenge is now behind us. The event that took place in Szczecin on 11-12th of August 2017, had close to 300 professional firefighters participating in it. For the seventh time we could watch the rivalry between the most persistent firefighters, competing in individual and team disciplines. Also, worthy of note and admiration is the joining to the competition of 15 women. On Wednesday 21st of June, the flood-defence exercise took place in which professional fire-fighters from Grudziądz and volunteers from five Volunteer Fire Department (OSPs) from the city’s neighbourhood participated. The main task was to conduct the exercise for the event of a flood. The flood-defence activities were carried out in the premises of an old pump station at the Rządz lake. During the exercise, the flood barriers of Lubawa Company were used.
