IMMA - a significant discovery of the Lubawa Group in the field of vehicle ballistics
Using the owned potential, experience, and knowledge in the field of ballistic protection and camouflage, we have created the world's first integrated vehicle protection system. IMMA - Integrated Multispectral Modular Armour - is a modular armour for vehicles, which increases its protection and functionality to a great extent.
IMMA consists of two layers and combines characteristics of ballistic protection (the bottom layer of the composite) and masking (the top layer of the composite). With this combination, the object is protected against bullets and shrapnel formed during an explosion, and the top layer that camouflages the vehicle, which may be of any coloration and pattern, masks the object in an optical range, near-infrared, and protects against thermal and radar detection.
The latest development of Lubawy in the field of camouflage and ballistics is a breakthrough product that increases the degree of protection of vehicles against bullets and shrapnel formed during an explosion of an artillery missile, and other ballistic threats to a significant extent. IMMA provides protection in accordance with the NATO STANAG 4569 2nd Ed. standard, in the range of resistance levels II, III, IV. Moreover, the armour provides protection in terms of:
- VIS - a special pattern of a mobile camouflage that perfectly fits the natural surroundings, and provides effective protection against optical reconnaissance systems, as well as armed and naked eye; it is possible to create an individual camouflage pattern adapted to a given environment,
- NIR - remitting properties effectively copy the natural surroundings, thereby providing protection against night vision devices,
- TIR - a modular armour that reduces thermal radiation up to 85%
- RADAR - bi-directional radar rejection up to 20 dB.
The integration of the ballistic shield and the masking shield through the applied assembly system facilitates and accelerates the process of assembly and disassembly of plates in case of replacement, panel damage or e.g. vehicle colour change. The above is particularly important in case of operational activities, including in conditions of limited access to workshop facilities.
IMMA is a product that has been created as a result of the synergy between the companies comprising the Lubawa Group - Lubawa and Miranda - and it is the first known combination of the two most important philosophies of vehicle protection against damage, i.e. ballistics and masking.
