The grand opening of the fourteenth edition of the Championships took place on 21 March in the hall of the Municipal State Fire Service in Toruń. The event was attended by representatives of twelve Regional State Fire Service Units and the School of Fire Service in Cracow. Polish participants had a chance to compete with the best contestants of individual firefighting sports competitions in the world.

The second day of the event (22 March) took place in Grudziadz. Some records have been beaten, and the participants achieved incredible results. Bartłomiej Siepietowski took the first place in the Polish classification (from the Małopolska Province), whilst Vladimir Sidorjenko from Russia won the international one. The competition, held at two-year intervals, has been summarised as an unprecedented success in terms of sport and organisation.
