The 12th edition of Arms and Security trade fair in Kiev summarized

Arms and Security exhibition that took place between 22 and 25 September in Kiev is the biggest national event that presents the achievements of the Ukrainian and world defensive industry. During the fair, many scientific conferences were conducted, as well as seminars and presentations, including Lubawa S.A., who was an active participant of the exhibition.

Nearly 200 products from the field of modern military equipment have been presented on the stand of national arms concern, Ukroboronprom. The stand offered the products of many companies associated within the concern and of other entities strictly cooperating with Ukroboronprom. The exhibition was a platform, on which the Company was able to fully demonstrate its great potential. President of "Ukroboronprom", Roman Romanov, said that the Ukrainian defence industry achieves much higher level – "We fully support the organization of this exhibition. It supports the creation of new cooperation links with defence industry companies in the European Union and NATO, as well as extending the range of defensive systems, developed and manufactured by national enterprises and. It also helps to strengthen the cooperation between them".

Domestic manufacturers presented, among others, the latest UAV unmanned aerial vehicle, radar systems, armoured vehicles and combat units, as well as firearms, while on behalf of the cooperating foreign companies, Lubawa presented the products for individual soldier equipment and camouflage systems. Those included the latest bulletproof vests and a range of ballistic inserts, as well as helmets and tactical equipment and products used for camouflage, including modern mobile camouflage. On the second day of the fair, Lubawa representatives held a meeting with the representatives of Ukroboronprom. During the meeting, a project of business plan has been presented, concerning the creation of a Polish-Ukrainian company and – in a result – construction of a factory.

Ukroboronprom developed a new program, according to which, thanks to the cooperation with foreign companies, experience of those foreign companies is utilised in Ukraine, thus elements of modern arms are implemented to the production. "Cooperation with Lubawa S.A. is a message for all of western companies that we are open and we invite them to cooperation" – said the deputy director general of Ukroboronprom, Arthur Heruvimov. He also noted that creating joint enterprises with foreign companies is mainly aimed at satisfying the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by providing technologies that have never been developed in Ukraine before. In addition, import is equally essential, as well as achieving full independence from the Russian technologies and products. Sales Director in Lubawa S.A., Arkadiusz Janicki, informed that the joint venture company will create 200 new jobs. Planned capacity is hundreds of thousands of items annually – the company is going to manufacture over 40,000 bulletproof vests and helmets, as well as dynamic multi-spectral camouflage for the military in the amount of 5,000 items and thousands of other tactical equipment products.

Let's remember, that during the MSPO trade fairs in Kielce, Ukroboronprom and Lubawa S.A. have signed a memorandum on the creation of new joint venture company in Ukraine.
