“Warta 2015” exercise with the participation of Lubawa S.A.

District Headquarters of the State Fire Service (PSP) in Turek was the site of the exercise for the entire staff of PSP hindquarters in Turek, as well as for units of the voluntary fire departments from the area of Brudzew and Przykona municipalities. The exercise was held on 3 October this year, based on anti-flood activities at Warta river.

The aim of the exercise was to verify the tactical capabilities and logistic backup during the long-term rescue actions involving large numbers of rescuers – approx. 150 people. Theoretical and practical classes were combined with the presentation of logistics and anti-flood equipment, as well as communications organisation and the work of the staff. Lubawa S.A. received an invitation from the District Commandant of the State Fire Service – senior brigadier Leonard Soja – to carry out the presentation of anti-flood system produced by Lubawa S.A. Within the presentation, two types of barriers were shown – 10 m flood barrier with internal sleeve 23 m and 10 m anti-flood barrier with a capacity of 35 thousand litres. The whole show was held with the active participation of fire-fighters, who, under the supervision of a Lubawa S.A. representative, were arranging the barriers. During the exercise, a support container was used, delivered by Lubawa S.A. to PSP in Turek, equipped with NP 38 tents, as well as with other products necessary to set up a camp for 60 people. The exercise was attended by representatives of Emergency Management Teams at municipal and district level. The presence of so many units in one place was also an excellent opportunity to talk about new products, as well as to show those products, including Cobra special fire fighting clothing.
