The flood barriers of Lubawa S.A. have been presented to Fire Service in Austria

The presentation of flood protection barriers produced by Lubawa S.A. took place in the Austrian city of Marchegg. The presented flood barriers were the 10 metre barriers with the internal sleeve of 23 metres.

The presentation took place on 9th October 2015 in the local Fire Service Unit. It covered a theoretical part in which technical specification was thoroughly discussed, as well as a practical part covering a complete training relating to deployment of the flood barriers. 8 people who took part in the training are predominantly responsible for the scope of works connected with flood protection. The Fire Service Unit in Marchegg is interested in purchasing the flood barriers as its equipment due to the fact that the territory of the city as well as the nearby area are often flooded.

The barrier used during the presentation is designed to build flood banks or for their heightening. It consists of two sleeves. The advantages of the system are low weight, ease of movement, assembling and installation. One section (10 metres) replaces approx. 170 sandbags. The flood protection barriers system has been patented in the Patent Office (no. 195058).
