The Fire Service in Jarosław opts for Lubawa barriers

The tender for the supply of flood barriers for the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Jarosław has been completed in favour of Lubawa S.A. [a joint-stock company]. The company will supply equipment worth PLN 135.6 thousand.

The barriers, being the subject of the tender, have been designed for building or raising flood banks. The executed agreement provides for the delivery of 300 sections whose total length equals 3 km. The order will be processed on 22 September this year.

The barriers that we offer constitute a unique solution which greatly facilitates quick and effective protection against flooding. Compared with similar products offered in the market, the barriers are extremely economical as the construction employed in their design allows for significant savings in time and human labour, which is the key in the event of a crisis” said Marcin Kubica, CEO of Lubawa Group.

Each barrier consists of two sleeves made from polyethylene film. The idea behind the construction is to confine the 23 m long internal tube in the second one, 10 m long external tube. The inner part can be filled with water while the outer part serves as a shell. Such a solution is easy to use and provides very good results, being 90% cheaper than traditional methods. The advantages of the system also include its light weight and ease of relocation, storage and installation.
