MINE-CLEARANCE LIGHTWEIGHT EOD VEST

Lightweight mine clearance vest intended to carry out mining and pyrotechnic reconnaissance activities and to clear the area of dangerous objects. Provides high level of protection when removing ammunition and anti-personnel landmines, including scatterable mines (SMs) and improvised objects. The main advantages include resistance to basic explosion phases i.e. thermal explosion wave, blast wave and fragments scattered by the explosion. The lightweight mine clearance vest does not restrict the freedom of movement. What is more, it makes it possible to use specialized equipment items to carry out mine-pyrotechnic operations, including inspection mirrors, pyrotechnic robots, various metal detectors, mine-detection prodders and spikes and equipment included in the Hook and Line sets. The lightweight mine clearance vest is worn on outer clothes (field uniform), rain protection or protective (anti-chemical) clothes during daily service.

The general vest structure, protection properties:

• Torso protection front/back with side Velcro straps,
• Upper arm protection,
• 360º neck protection with an internal collar,
• Integrated face protection using a front collar interacting with various protective visors,
• Protection of the lower abdomen, crotch and thighs using a modular lower cover.

Compliance with requirements:

• STANAG 2920, value V50 = 450 m/s for fragments 1.102 g;
• IMAS 10.30.

General characteristics:

• The lightweight mine clearance vest provides good ventilation and thermal comfort during daily service.
• It’s compatible with various helmets, face and neck protective visors.
• The external vest material is bullet-proof and can be washed in a washing machine at a temperature up to 40ºC.
• External vest fabric shows fire-proof properties.
• The vest can be made in blue (UN) color or any other indicated by the orderer.
• The lightweight mine clearance vest can be used at temperatures ranging from -20ºC to +60ºC.
• The vest is available in sizes XS – S – M – L – XL – XXL.
• The weight of vest in sizes from XS to XL – ranges from 3 kg to 4.5 kg, while in XXL size up to 5 kg.
• The lightweight mine clearance vest is supplied in a case (transport bag) in a color agreed with the orderer.
