First contracts and tenders for the Ministry of National Defence with the participation of Lubawa S.A.
Previous information about the finalization of tender proceedings for MND with the participation of Lubawa S.A. are confirmed. Initially, their conclusion was planned for 2013, yet due to the last-year's cuts in budget expenses of the Ministry, they were postponed to the beginning of this year.
Over the last days, the Company has entered into a contract with the Weaponry Inspectorate of MND for deliveries of pneumatic safety vests KR-7 and one-man life boats LŁR for the amount of over PLN 650,000 gross. Production has already started and is running without any interruptions, and the deliveries of the above-mentioned products for the Polish Army shall take place in oncoming months. The Weaponry Inspectorate has also initiated tender proceedings, originally planned for last year, for deliveries of further leading products of Lubawa S.A., e.g. NS-97 tents, sets for mass decontamination of the injured and sea safety boats. Currently, the Inspectorate is also running tender procedures for the servicing of bullet-proof vests, OLV and KLV, developed by Lubawa S.A.
‘This is all very good new to the Company and it is with great satisfaction that we recognize the improvement of the sale situation. Currently, we are preparing and submitting our offers for deliveries of, among others, the already mentioned products, which we have been providing for years now to the Polish Army. However, we want to go beyond that and already now we are working on improving our offer aimed at this one recipient,' comments the President of the Management Board of Lubawa Group, Mr Marcin Kubica.
After last year's double success connected with the won tenders for deliveries of ballistic helmets to the General Police Headquarters, the Company has developed a new version of those helmets dedicated to parachutists. Also this product is the object of the tender being in progress at this very moment, which is participated by Lubawa S.A., too, announced by the Weaponry Inspectorate. It is to cover supplies of over 5 thousand such helmets, and its estimated value exceeds EUR 400,000.
‘In this year's strategy of Lubawa S.A., orientated at many different recipients in various countries, the Polish Army is still one of the strategic partners. We keep expanding our presence in the Polish Army by new product categories; moreover, it is our belief that their satisfaction with our offer is a perfect ticket to expanding onto foreign markets,' adds Mr Kubica.
