Lubawa S.A. establishes cooperation with the government of Somalia
On 13 May 2014, Lubawa S.A. signed a letter of intent with Direct Investment Advisory, a state agency at the Office of the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia. The established cooperation will consist in equipment supplies, training uniformed forces and joint implementation of projects under humanitarian aid.
Direct Investment Advisory is responsible for investments connected with the improvement of safety and rebuilding the country. As was communicated by the advisor of the president of Somalia, Mr Hassan Shiekh Ahmed, the state agency decided to start cooperation with Lubawa S.A. because it was the first commercial company to pay a visit to Somalian authorities right after the rebels had been driven out of Mogadishu. Representatives of the company met for the first time with the Government of Somalia and the Command of the Somalian Military Forces in December 2012.
'We are very satisfied with the fact that Lubawa products will appear on the new market and that they will help Somalian authorities fulfil the projects connected with rebuilding the country and providing safety to its citizens. I do believe that the letter of intent is a good beginning of fruitful cooperation,' comments Mr Marcin Kubica, President of the Management Board of Lubawa Group.
Next meeting with the representatives of the Government in Mogadishu is planned to take place later this half of the year.
