Lubawa S.A. supports Polish Championships of Volunteer Fire-fighters in Water and Flood Rescue

45 voluntary fire brigades, over 180 volunteer fire-fighters competed for the title of Polish Champion in Water and Flood Rescue. Lubawa S.A. was the supporting partner of the event. The company funded a prize in the category "Picking a drowning person directly from water into a rowing boat".

At Jaroszewskie Lake in Sieraków, on 20-22 June, the 8th edition of the championships took place. Competitions in water and on land consisted of 7 demanding categories. The fire-fighters had to build a floodbank; they took part in a rowing boat race; and they rescued a person threatened by flood, with the use of a rowing and motor boat. A spectacular slalom of motor boats was a one big attraction. In the 6th category, i.e. "Picking a drowning person directly from water into a rowing boat", fire-fighters from OSP Krzywiń brigade were victorious and, as a prize, they received a pneumatic boat Orka 2 funded by Lubawa S.A.

The title of Polish Champion 2014 in Water and Flood Rescue went to OSP Licheń Stary I brigade, which defended their title won last year. Second place was awarded to the fire-fighters from OSP Water Rescue from Piła; third place - to OSP Stalowa Wola brigade.
