Lubawa SA – contracts with the Polish Army

At present, the company carries into effect three contracts for District Military Workshop No.2 in Jastrzębie. The Armed Forces passed an order for bulletproof vests’ repair and certification.

The order foreseeing repair of 613 pcs of bulletproof vests (two types) exceeds the value of PLN 1.2 mln. Lubawa SA has won the respective tenders and concluded three contracts with District Military Workshop No.2 in Jastrzębie. This workshop is submitted to the Polish Armed Forces Support Inspectorate in Bydgoszcz, which is responsible for organization, outfit and support of military operations in Poland and abroad. Within the a/m contracts Lubawa SA will repair sheathings, ballistic inserts and ballistic plates in two types of bulletproof vests: OLV – assigned for infantry soldiers and KLV – used by drivers. The repaired vests will pass proper qualifying and certifying examination in order to ensure their users safety and efficient protection. The OLV and KLV bulletproof vests are since nearly 3 years commonly used by Polish soldiers operating in Afghanistan within NATO mission. Earlier, they were used as basic personal ballistic protection in Iraq.

Two contracts will be accomplished till 30th November and the third-one – till 15th December, 2009.
