Lubawa SA has been invited to participate in a special session of analytic and advisory body of the Armament Council, supporting the Minister of the National Defence.
Lubawa SA was the only personal protection equipment manufacturer to present its newest projects of soldiers’ ballistic protection means. The company has shown its readiness to co-operate in multistage specialistic researches and tests of equipment (bulletproof vests and ballistic protection systems) as well as hard and soft polyethylene ballistic inserts. The manufacturers’ proposals give Scientific and Research Team indications for further research and development projects. Launching production of light, state-of-the art ballistic panels and profiles can be a good project to be carried into effect by Lubawa SA in co-operation with technological companies and research institutes.
Another subject brought up during the Scientific and Research Team’s session were pneumatic tents for military applications. Their range includes different types, starting from one-man living tents, through multiple-man living and specialistic tents up to over 600-m2 technical pneumatic tents. Also in this field, Lubawa SA proposed the co-operation in testing, developing and designing tents based on existing constructions.
The meeting gave also chance to start co-operation with military centre of chemical and radiological warfare defence. Lubawa SA can support projects in this field with solutions based on specialistic, coated technical fabrics manufactured by the company. The Scientific and Research Team supporting the Armament Council passes judgements on proposals presented for Council’s approval. Armament Council’s decisions introducing new equipment to be used by the Polish Army depend on such judgements. The Team also prepares research and development forecasts which are essential for the future of military technology and equipment use within next decades.
The session of the Team with Lubawa SA’s participation was held in Military University of Technology in Warsaw on 14th October, 2009. Lubawa SA presented its proposals in two (of ten) topical sections: personal equipment & fighting systems and physical protection of soldiers and sub-units in battlefield.
