The EOD pyrotechnic shield was designed in cooperation of Polish bomb disposal officers with the British company United Shield International Ltd.

The shield’s special dimensions, i.e. 1750x700mm and the use of telescopic legs, which allow the positioning of the shield in a vertical position, create an extremely safe and comfortable workspace for persons working with explosives. The size and shape of the shield increase the probability that the overpressure generated during the MW explosion will bypass the space behind the shield. A centrally mounted visor ensures easy orientation in the surroundings. A rigid handle attached on the inner side of the shield helps handle and position the device.
